ROLAND MADRID: Supreme Court No. 34,189, JSC Inquiry Nos. 2013-105, 2013-106, 2013-107 & 2013-108

Supreme Court grants Commission’s Motion to Accept Stipulation to Permanent Resignation from Judicial Office in Lieu of Further Disciplinary Proceedings (filed 2-25-14) concerning Santa Clara Municipal Court Judge Roland Madrid, Supreme Court Docket No. 34,189, JSC Inquiry Nos. 2013-105, 2013-106, 2013-107, and 2013-108. On February 4, 2014, the Commission had filed a Verified Petition for Immediate Temporary Suspension in the matter with the Supreme Court, which was still pending when the motion to accept the resignation stipulation was filed. The Supreme Court order made Madrid’s resignation permanent, forever barring him from ever holding judicial office in New Mexico again, and unsealed the Supreme Court’s file in the disciplinary matter. All public documents are available from the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office (505-827-4860).
